How often do you find yourself swamped in the overburden workload?
All of us have moments where we feel overwhelmed at work or stressed out in life. You can be going on a vacation and still be pressured when your flight went on a one-hour delay. There is this saying: “the world belongs to the one who enjoys it,” but all too often, our expectations of enjoyment and relaxation are not fulfilled at all.
Not long ago, a German journalist conducted an online survey on the most important personal mental strengths at the workplace. Interestingly, and at the same time, frighteningly, ‘Pleasure’ was put down last on the list. This is extremely troublesome as it shows that people no longer feel the joy in what they are doing.
The moment we begin to realize how our lives go under stress every day, we start investing more money and time on our wellness. People begin spending days, even weeks, off of work for a short holiday that promise full relaxation, packed with luxurious comfort and spa treatments from Thalasso to Ayurveda. We trust our own instinct that we would somehow get our life back together, recover, and feel refreshed once more. But little did you know, in reality, joy is not that easy to get. When you go on a spa treatment with your best friend, your phone constantly rings and your inbox never seems to stop being fully loaded. When you are at the gym working out, you can never seem to stop thinking about the hot mess you have to clean up after your child goes to bed.
When will it stop? The answer is simple: We are exhausted by the daily struggles. The only way to cure this seemingly eternal illness is to fully take in the concept of wellness, as long as you mentally set yourself open to more positivity.
Here are five main tips for a healthy wellbeing:
1. Focus your attention on the right things
Pause and enjoy every moment. Start to think and feel with gratitude for what you have in life.
2. Invest in eating healthy
Take care of your body: this is the basis of your overall well-being.
3. Maintain optimistic approaches
Optimism grows positivity. An optimistic mind leads to a positive cycle of experiences.
4. Understand who you really are
Make wise and right decisions for yourself. Be confident of who you are.
5. Prepare the body for well-being through well-being
Oxytocin is a hormone that builds relaxation to the body. It is produced not only by the brain, but also and more importantly, by the heart. It is stimulated by body contact, smile, trust, gratitude, compassion, and empathy.
Every aspect of your life influences your state of well-being and vice versa. Treasure your wellbeing and you will hold the key to happiness and life enjoyment.
